Janet Deaton had a vision 50 years ago , a new steeple for her church. The First Presbyterian Chuch has been working on a memorial fund in her memory spanning the past 15 years. That all came true today with the new steeple that weighed in at over 12,000 lbs. During this process the CS Bell #8 ,cr 1890, was exposed to the light of day for the first time since residing at the church. Bobby Deaton crafted the copper accents while Darrell Weaver created the crest. Don Albertson handled the installation and the HDC decided the color scheme.
